Some interesting music streams / Ogg somebody?

There are a few interesting audio streams I havn't discovered before.

  • KOHINA is a streaming server network dedicated to game music. They say about themself:
pure old school 8-bit and 16-bit game and demo music mp3/ogg radio
c64, amiga, atari, msx, x68000, pc-88, consoles, arcades and more
the classic and the new generation of c64 tunes with real sid sounds

The ogg feed from scandinavia gives me a better quality than the german mp3 feed.
  • musicforhackers streams, as they claim, Soundscapes for compromising a remote host. The playlist isn't that unusual, but the site's motto is a bit interesting. The web server gives a wrong mime type for the playlists so you may have to download them first.

Thanks to Seb for these links.
There should be more Ogg Vorbis streaming services out there. Most services listed here offer statically compressed files for dowload, but there aren't many streaming links in the list. That's a bit sad given the fact that low bandwidth ogg streams tend to sound much better than mp3 streams with the same bandwidth. As opposed to mp3, Ogg Vorbis is absolutely free. The codecs integrate nicely within standard players such as XMMS. Title streaming works like in mp3 streams.
So, here are some more sites ogg streams I found using Google:
